Meet Our Team

Zhi Geng is a senior statistical analyst at the University of Pennsylvania. His role is to apply advanced SAS programming skills and statistical methods to support health policy-related research projects. He received his medical degree at Anhui Medical University in 2009 and obtained a master’s degree of public health at Emory University in 2015. He worked as a biostatistician at Emory University Department of Pediatrics in 2015. Then he joined Geisinger Health System as a health economics research analyst before his employment at University of Pennsylvania in 2017. He has years of experience and expertise using Medicare claims data, Optum claims data, Trauma database, and other commercial claims data and EHR data. His research has centered on pharmacoeconomics, pharmaceutical health service research, chronic disease burden, cardiovascular quality and outcome, trauma resuscitation, general surgery quality improvement, global genomics, health policy evaluation, pediatric clinical outcome, and other public health areas.
