Elizabeth E. Drye, MD, MS (@ElizabethDryeMD) is Director of Quality Measurement Programs at the Yale/Yale-New Haven Hospital Center for Outcomes Research and Evaluation (CORE), and a Research Scientist at Yale University School of Medicine. Before becoming a physician she worked for eight years in senior governmental public health policy positions in Washington, D.C., where she helped lead and manage regulatory, legislative, and government-wide health initiatives. Her prior policy positions include Chief of Staff and Associate Director for Consumer and Public Health Policy at the White House Domestic Policy Council, Legislative Assistant to U.S. Senator Joe Lieberman, Legislative Assistant to Representative Henry Waxman, and Senior Policy Analyst at the Environmental Protection Agency. At Yale she currently directs CORE work with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services developing outcomes measures for public reporting and quality. Dr. Drye received her MD from Harvard Medical School, her SM in Health Policy and Management from the Harvard School of Public Health, and her AB at Stanford University. She completed her residency training in pediatrics at Yale-New Haven Hospital.
